It's boring already... the adventure is boring... Since two days I completed my first tests and no assignments for the moment. At first it was quite challenging to face all these pressure and have to catch up on my 2-week lateness but then I've done all this. Is that's all for the moment? It's so boring when I really have nothing to do. I just go to class and the lectures are quite ok, since I've catch up all my notes.
Yesterday went to Pasar Malam(Night Market) and my friends went before me as they had to return back to do their assignments and I was left alone. Fortunately Fitri (indonesian) promised to call me when she'll be going. Then we went together and bought some food for dinner. I was so hungry, it was about 8:30PM something. We walked the whole Pasar Malam just to look for food! :p haha!!! Encore nana mem??? :p Robin to p vine gros ta! :P haha - that's most of you must be think and saying! :p hahahaha Well no worries, here at UCSI the good thing is that our school is on the height, so every time when we have to go dinner, we go down and after dinner have to walk up!! Very good exercise indeed!!! :D hahaha!!!
Since last night I didn't get to connect to the internet. I don't really know what is happening but the wireless connection is not that good. Even today it's still not good. I mean in my room. Now I'm in my friend's room and I wonder how it works in his room! : I even went to check in the computer room and it works there. The computer technician said that there's a problem in the wireless connection now.
Tonight I can't go to W17 cell group anymore since our cell group is multiplying. So our new cell group meeting will be near my school and Kristy will still be our cell leader! hehe... But I'll be missing the other friends, who lives quite far and I usually meet them twice a week as we go fellowship Yum Chai afterwards. Now no more with them! :( I just to be closed to them, now will be missing them so much! Anyway the importance is that a new cell group is formed! :) Our new cell group will be on Saturdays afternoon at 4PM and according to what I've heard, ELS is also multiplying into another cell group! Wow!!! And guess what? Our cell meeting will be at the same time though there is time difference. :D In Mauritius it will be 12PM and here it will be 4PM!!!! Hahaha!!! Our cells are multiplying at the same time lah!!! So members of ELS4 I will be praying for you guys! Stay strong and remember to always be full of joy and love. May you all learn new things from this cell group and not only learn but to put into practice also so as to make it a lifestyle! James - continue to work with the youths in ELS! You're doing a very good job and I'm proud of you. It's through you that I've grown a lot in my life. So thank you again! :)
Well I have to go class now. See you soon guys! :)
Robin - born and grown up in a very small island called Mauritius. Currently in Malaysia at UCSI to study Psychology. This blog will be about my adventurous life in Malaysia and the challenges I face everyday! Enjoy! GBU! :)

catching up my updates
Hello boys and girls!!!
Sorry for not updating during these days. I was quite busy here. I have tests and busy assignments. As usual, there are some boring classes and some exciting classes but most are exciting classes and that's makes me so busy!
UCSI, my college, organized a welcome party for the international students who just arrived for this semester last Friday night. I was also involved in the party, I had to download the National Anthem of every countries so that we could have have some sample during the party. But finally we didn't do it as we had some problem at the last minute. I was praying to God that He could make this party be a good one because we prepared the party in less than a week. In the organizing team, there were only 4 people. So we had to make our best so that the party could be done well as we already put the announcement on the walls of the whole school blocks and we added a banner in the entrace of block A. We were all stressed because the party was not ready and we finalised everything on the same day! But I prayed for this party to be a success and guess what? It was a success indeed! :) God was in control of every details. Everybody had fun!!! It was so cool! :)
Yesterday night I went to eat in an open air restaurant. It was quite nice and cheap! :) It's Wilson who proposed us to go eat there. I ate a lot for RM4 only, about Rs32!!! Normally if we go restaurant in Mauritius, the cheapest you can eat is Rs40-45. I took rice with lots of dishes and only for RM4!!! Wow!!! :D After dinner, we went to eat ice cream and sit at our traditional place. Then James(from Hope of God KLCC) called me and tell me that he won't be able to meet me but Mei Mei will come and visit me. Wendy, finally they contacted me last Thursday, still I have to explain that I'm not from Africa. They all thought that I was a black person. I have explain every people the same thing over and over again here. I think that I really have to record something and each question they ask, I will play the tape. :p haha!!!
Today I just came back from City Harvest Church KL! It's always good to be in the house of God and praising and worshipping Him. The preaching is always a good one! This one touched me really! It was talking about how God can provide us. For God to do His part of giving to us, we should also give to Him in tithes and offerings. The pastor gave examples of tithes and offerings in the Bible and specially how God opened the doors of heaven for provision! First as we give, it's done as an obedience to God and by faith we shall receive and be fulfilled! The Pastor also gave his testimony when he first became a christian and was a youth worker in UK. I was really touched by his testimony. It encouraged me to give more to God in tithes! :)
Well today is Sunday and I have a very busy week with tests and assignments. I have to manage my time so that I may excel in my studies! :) Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from you very soon and send me some news from the part of the world you are now. Just email me on robinc2@gmail.com.
God bless,

Event of Wednesday 20 Sept 06
This post is due to last Wednesday. The internet was no so good here, so I didn't get to post this. Anyway can still catch up on me! :)
Today I woke up late for my class because I slept late last night. I was revising my notes from the internet. I've missed first 2 weeks lecture already and the only way to catch up is to go through the lecture notes on the internet on the school website. The problem is that I don't have a computer so that I may study. Yesterday Arzeena (mauritian girl) told me that I could get my notes from the photocopy store. They have all the notes of the lecturers. I didn't know actually but the problem is that I don't like to go out in the crowd to search for notes at the photocopy store and I have to pay for each copy.
Fotunately I have 2 friends who are very special to me. :) There's Wilson and Chee Ling (Chili-we call her chili :p) Every night they see me doing nothing, so they lend me their laptops. Very good friends indeed! I thank God for them! So every night I refer to my notes online! :) - hey guys, if someday you're reading - i really mean you're very special friends to me though sometimes you may be crazy, especially you Wilson! :p haha
I usually to go dinner or lunch with them. We spend lots of good time indeed! We have our tradition too! hehe... Every time after dinner, we go and sit on the stairs of the main entrance of the school! :) Most of the time we eat our ice cream and Wilson is always on for the strawberry one! :p hehe.. Chili and I always tell him, "It's only girls who eat strawberry one. Why do you have to eat this? Are you a girl?" hahaha!!! We usually joke like this with him but he make us pay also with his funny jokes!!! :p hahahaha!!!
Well I got to go now. I'm helping for the Welcome Party for International Students who just enrolled for this semester. I'm just giving ideas of what to do. The Welcome Party is for this Friday night. It's gonna be party time!!! YEAH!!! :D And tonight going Pasa Malam (Night Market - where everything is supposed to be cheap! :p) haha!
God bless, Robin

Google Earth
Last night as I was about to go to sleep, I saw my room mate in the cafeteria. Actually my room mate comes from Shanghai, China. He and his friend (i forgot her name), were looking at pictures of the world in 3D. At first I thought that they were playing computer games as most of the computer games now are in 3D. They were looking where our school is on the map. They use Google Earth to watch this. It's really fasinating to see the earth in 3D from a satelitte view.
So I joined with them to search for our school. It was difficult for us at first because it was so big and we didn't know where to start. We've found the KLCC petronas Twin Tower. :) Then I went back in my room to fetch the map of KL, then we started to search through the map. It was so fun! I knew where our school was on the map but we were trying to find it in the satelitte view. I was too difficult. Then we got the idea to search by looking at the road, it was good at first then it was not good, so we had to start all over again! We kept on searching and searching! It was real fun! Finally we found our school!!! Wow it was so great! :)
Afterwards they told me to search for Mauritius, our beautiful small island where nobody knows where is it! :p So I typed mauritius and then it moved quickly and stop in the blue sea. Then we zoom in and zoon in more but it was only blue. It was weird, then I say "how come! My little country has gone from the map of the world?" We all laugh!!! :D There got to be some problem in it. Mauritius gone!!! Vous vous rendez compte!!!! : So we zoom out to see where is Madagascar, and we found Mauritius!!! :D hehe... Actually when I typed Mauritius, it was in small letter. So that's why it landed in the complete blue sea!!!
When we found Mauritius, they say "Oh so small island!" I usually hear that most of the time here. They don't know where is Mauritius. So I usually tell them, "you see Mauritius is near Africa. Africa is here, Madagascar is here and Mauritius is here, can you see the small dot, well that's Mauritius!" "OHHH SO SMALL LAH!!!", their usual answer! :p It's quite rare to see people who knows about Mauritius and our beautiful beaches! So where was I? Yeah when we view Mauritius through satelitte, they were really amazed! We saw Port Louis, the reduit Stadium, beaches and swimming pools!!! Did you know that in Mauritius there were a lot of swimming pool? They never saw so much swimming pool in such a country. We also saw my house! Yeah!!! :D hehe... so great!!! :D I could view what my brother and sister were doing! :p haha no lah, this one I'm joking! :p But I wish I could! :D
Finally we viewed Shanghai, their home country! They say compared to Mauritius, their sea and rivers are yellow!!! Yerk! But the town is really really big!!! I saw their school in Shanghai and their house too! Wow it's so big there!!! Lots of building and no green as Mauritius. They say that one day they will come to Mauritius to see all the nice beaches and blue lagoon! And guess what? In Mauritius there was so many clouds that there are places that we could not view. They wanted to breathe our fresh and pure air! Compared to Shanghai, they say it's very polluted. In the end, we all said that we will go another one's country to visit! So good! (You see Jo, I promote our country! Will bring more tourist la! :p hehe)
Those who want to view their house or anything else through satelitte, you can check out http://earth.google.com/ and download and install the program so that you can view any places you want! You can view me too!!! :D Mai pa tro veille mo pa zaffair coma dir banes CTU(Counter Terrorist Unit) la! :p hehe.. If you want to view me, just let me know first so that I may be very careful of each step I take! :p hahahaha!!!
Ok enjoy the Goggle Earth! :)

busy monday!!!
Today, first day of the week, Monday, a very very busy day - from morning till night! I have to go class from 8AM to 6PM!!! What a day! Today as I woke up this morning, I was still tired and very hungry. I wanted to eat something apart from my cereals. So I went to the cafeteria, which was just opened, and guess what? No food!!! They just started to cook! Ayo!!! They told me that they could make toast now but I didn't want toast as it's expensive and very light. I wanted solid food so that I may be on my feet for the whole day. Breakfast is very important for me, else I may faint during the day, especially if I have a very long and busy day. They told me to come back at 8AM but I had class at 8AM! So I asked if I could get my food before 8AM, it was 7:15AM.
Meanwhile I went to have my QT and prepared myself for school. Then I went back to the cafeteria and ask my Nasi Lemak! Already prepared for me! Wow!!! Thanks God! :) But though I was still hungry, so I bought 2 sandwishes and a hot coffee - I was feeling dizzy today.
2 classes already gone now, my 3rd one is at 4PM. At least I have a little time to relax. Now getting hungry, I need to search for good and healthy food! :D hehe.. I have to go back to the hostel also as the maid is cleaning my room and I have to be present.
I'm going to have my laptop very soon!!! So those who don't usually see me online that often, will see me more often! :p hahaha!!!
Gotta go lunch now!!! Very hungry!!! I'm starving already! Keep in touch friends! :)
God bless,
Robin

my weekend
Yesterday was Sunday. Usually on Sundays, well since I'm here, I sleep a lot. The latest time I wake up is 11AM. On the eve I went to church as I usually do on every Saturdays here and after church is supper time and after supper time I'm back to the hostel and guess what? I stayed at the cafeteria, which was closed of course, talking to my friends who was there. We talked and talked till 3AM where there was a power cut! Oh no!!! No air con, no fan, how would we live?
The power cut was only on the ground floor only then as they started to repair the dammage, all floors, no air con, no fan, and no light!!! :( Our main door usually locks itself with electricity but the funny thing is that when no electricity, we were all stuck in the hostel!!! arrgghhh!!!! Somebody help us!!! The door would not open at all! Closed and secured! The security guard had no key to open the other doors which was not locked by electricity. Ayo!!! What kind of security guard is he? You know what? He then called for help to another security guard to open the door for us! Tsskkk!!!
I then went to sleep as I couldn't use the internet, no network found! Ayo!!! We didn't have electricity till 9AM. What a terrible heat in my room!!! My friend Irene usually sleeps with her big jacket and that night she didn't get hot at all. Haha! I can't talk much about her, she's around! :p hahaha!!!
So on Sundays I usually sleep and there's nothing special to do. When I woke up, I was lazy to go out to take my breakfast! I wanted to stay in the hostel. So I've eatten some cereals, which sometimes I get bored of eating the same thing, and then I saw my friend who told me to go out for lunch. Then I went lunch. Ayo spicy food they recommeded me. So I changed my meal which my friend Winny (she's local). Thank U winny again! :) :) :)
When I returned back to the hostel, I went back to sleep again till 5PM. Wow!!! It was a very good rest! The problem that when I sleep to much during the day, I'm too active at night. I couldn't sleep at all at night!!! Arghh!!!

busy already!
Hello all!!! :)
I'm still enjoying my new life here, though lots of challenges that I have to face each new day. But God is the strength of my heart! Amen? :) YEAH!
On Thursday I went to a cell group, actually it's my second time to this cell group. The name of the cell group is W17, it means that it's the 17th cell group in the west part of KL. The cell group leader is so nice and very dynamic person and her name is Kristy! I like her way of speaking, it keeps people awake! Yesterday I went to another cell group. This one is in Cheras, quite near my uni. Still met some new people. Today it was my second time to City Harvest Church. I really like this Church, a bit like St Paul's Church but my home church of the future. :) I believe that one day St Paul's Church will be like that someday!
Since I'm here in Malaysia, I'm like eating 4 meals per day - Breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper! :D hehe... Supper, the call it "yum cha" here (noisy esther, I said it right?). But the supper here I only take it at least twice a week after cell meeting or after church. Olala je mange un peu trop la je pense! :p hehe..
I have classes nearly everyday from from Monday to Thursday. So I get Friday and weekends for free and can go around and visit new places! :) For shopping, there are quite some things that are cheap but there are some expensive also though they put special promotion, etc... Today I did nothing special, I woke up late actually. I was so tired these few days because so much work and revision to be done. I'm back to my busy life. Actually here it's busier than in Mauritius. I don't know if it's the uni-life or it's here that everything goes so fast.
Well that's all from me now! I'm getting tired and it's already 1:13AM. Hope to hear from you guys!!!
Keep in touch!
God bless.
Robin

New blog, new adventures! :)
Hello everybody,
For the sake of writing mails and send to you, I prefer to post it on my blog so that you may look at it when you have the time! I'm helping you not to make your mailbox full with my long emails! :p hehe..
So life here in Malaysia is completely different. It's so hot here (29-30degress) - not like in Mauritius at all!!! Well I don't know why but it's always raining here and when I mean raining, not like small drops of rain where we usually complain we'll be wet, it's heavy rainfall here!!! When heavy rainfall comes, then lightning and thunder comes! At first I was really shocked, as I never heard so much "boom" in my life. Fortunately I got used to it! :)
The food here is different. Lots and lots of spicy foods!!! Actually I don't really like spicy foods but it worth for a try! :) hehe.. The popular food I've eaten so far is Nasi Lemak! Nasi Lemak means Coconut milk rice! Hmm... Yummy!!! :) I like it but depends where to go and eat it. There are some places that is really good and some places that are not. I've also eaten chinese food. Different from Mauritius actually. There are foods that are better and foods that are not. The food I've eaten that is better than Mauritius, is the Chasiew rice!!! :D hehe... I went to eat this with Martin and a member of city harvest church! If one day you come to Malaysia(or if you're already in), then I will tell you where is it! :p hehe... Miam Miam!!! :D
My first day in Malaysia was not really great! It was boring actually! No friends, simply a lonesome cowboy like luckyluke! :p Fortunately God provided friends for me. Every new each day, I had a new friend. The problem is that I can't remember their names. There are still people that I can't remember their names at all. Some names are chinese names and most of them are indonesians. Anyway I've met lots and lots of Christians in my school. There was a Christian Fellowship at school last Friday and I attended it. Still there were so many people there and couldn't remember their names. The only names I remember are: Esther(the first person who talked to me and very noisy too), Bobby(I met him in the living room of SAO), Jonathan, Andrew(president of CF) and Eric(member of city harvest church).
So far I've attended only to City Harvest Church in KL. Different from St Paul's Church in Mauritius. Lots of youths and lots of mininstries. The lights effect are great! I like that, a bit like hillsong DVD! :) I will take pics when I'll get my camera soon! :) hehe.. I went to a cell group (not Martin's cell group) last week with my indonesian friend Fitri. It was Afree and Hendra who came and pick us up. They are really good friends and very funny too! :) The cell group is different from the one I attended in Mauritius. So far, I've never seen a cell group like this. It's awesome. The cell leader, Kristy, share the Word so powerfully and lead worship and prayed like I've never seen before. When the cell meeting ended, I was so blessed because I've received a touch from God! Then we went supper! :p hahaha!!! Very common here after church and cell meeting! :p
Well that's all I can say for the moment. I got to class to class now. No, no, no! Going lunch first and then go to class!!! :p hahaha!!!
Thanks for reading!
God bless you all!
